How privacy, maps, names, and neighborhood availability work.
Why can’t I search for names?
Nabry is a private memory aid, not a people-search service or public directory. You can search the map by address or postal code, then save names you already know to your own account. Nabry does not expose one member’s names to another or support searching, enumerating, or bulk-exporting residents.
Who can see the names and notes I add?
Your household titles, names, emoji or symbols, and notes stay within your account. An authorized Nabry administrator may use a clearly marked, time-limited, read-only support view when helping troubleshoot a problem; that access is audited. Your notebook does not become part of a shared directory, a public record, or another member’s search results.
Why does Nabry ask me to mark my home?
Your confirmed home establishes the small area where Nabry may show nearby addresses, parcel boundaries, and eligible owner-of-record details. That boundary starts at two miles and is enforced by Nabry’s server. Nabry saves a home only after you explicitly confirm it.
Can I save a place outside my neighborhood?
Yes. You can explore the public basemap and save a private labeled pin anywhere it supports. A pin outside your home area does not unlock nearby parcel, address, or owner information there.
Does Nabry save what I search for on the map?
No. Nabry sends address and postal-code searches to its map-search provider only to return suggestions and move the map. Nabry does not save or cache those searches or results. It saves a place only after you explicitly add it to your private notebook.
What does “Public record” mean?
It is owner-of-record information from a government or licensed parcel source. It may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate, and it does not necessarily identify who lives at a home. The household title or name you add stays private and does not change the source record.
What is Nabry+?
Nabry+ is the paid account designation. An eligible Nabry+ account may see public owner-of-record names for parcels inside its authorized home area, including parcels it has privately tagged. Those labels can remain visible as the member zooms out, but Nabry does not use the wider view to request more owner data. The same geographic limits and private-notebook rules still apply.
What if a parcel or public record looks wrong?
Choose the nearby home and select Report an issue. Nabry creates a review case without making a live provider lookup or changing the source record. For a privacy or safety concern, contact support.
Can I change my marked home?
Yes. Use the pencil icon beside Home in the map’s left rail. Nearby parcel access will follow the new confirmed home, while private entries from a former home remain available in your notebook archive.
When will Nabry be available in my county?
Nabry uses verified interest signups to plan county availability. Reaching 100 active, verified, unique email signups makes a county eligible for manual onboarding; it does not trigger an automatic launch or promise a launch date.
How do I delete my information?
You can remove an interest signup from a link in a Nabry email. Signed-in members can permanently delete their account from the account page. If you cannot sign in, contact support for help.
